Internet infrastructure is about to suffer a major upgrade. On June 6, 2012, Internet Protocol version 4 will begin to be abandoned in favor of IPv6.

A large number of telecom companies, equipment manufacturers of networking and the Web companies have chosen on June 6, 2012 to implement IPv6, according to Slashdot.
The current version of Internet Protocol allows conectatarea to approximately 4.3 billion network of stations, number rapidly approaching the upper limit.

IPv6 will "extend" the Internet, but on June 6 is just the first step.
